Paul J. Mershon earned a bachelor's degree in business from the University of Minnesota. He began his career in financial planning in 1978 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1981, as president of he founded Resource Financial Group in Madison, Wisconsin. Under Paul's leadership, Resource Financial Group developed into a diversified financial services firm comprised of 11 consultants involved in the design and implementation of financial plans for physicians, business owners and other highly compensated individuals. In 1990, Paul sold his firm to North Star Resource Group, a Minnesota-based firm with a history in the financial services industry dating back to 1908. In 1992, he moved his practice to North Scottsdale and founded Silverhawk. Today Silverhawk advises business owners and high income individuals on available methods to decrease taxes and increase working capital. Paul also works with clients to develop the most appropriate asset allocation strategy available based on their goals, risk propensity, and income level, always careful to assess the current global economic environment as well as potential inefficiencies and opportunities in the investment markets.
